Paris: Bastille, J'me

I'm spending three weeks in Paris for the holidays; if you would've told me I'd be starting a blog post with that statement three years ago, I would've thought you were out of your mind. I don't know what I did to deserve seeing the world like this (and trust you-me, I haven't seen much .. yet). It goes without saying (or maybe not?) that even though I might be the brokest person on the planet, I've found some Way to be here or there, metaphorically or geographically. It's been provided for me. There is always, always, ALWAYS a way -- where there is a will.

Let me simplify: if you desire, you have. it's all waiting for you to claim, to grab hold, to brandish! And the harsh truth is that only your perceived obstacles and good-for-nothing (and you know they are so-very-not-good-for-anything-good) excuses stand in the way.

I implore you .. don't let any excuse (write it here: ______________ ) stand in the way of where you currently are .. and the desires of your heart, your passions. I've always felt I had some slight or great disadvantage that others didn't have which allowed them to so easily do the things I so passionately, fervently wanted to do, to accomplish .. (and my god, it wasn't fair!). and yet, there's something to be said for those who persevere, those encouraging souls who are the most disadvantaged in all the land; to watch them move forward, move beyond, ascend upward .. is the most glorious sight of all. I've met many other vagabonds, bohemians, hobos on my journeys near and far, and they only exacerbate my longings and my capability to avidly pursue my passions.

Thank you to all of you who have encouraged me in this regard and always enabled my sense of ability to pursue ____ . (that's you too, mom.)
